In Loving Memory of Rachael E. Barlow

Though she is gone from this life, and though we miss her more than words can ever express, we are yet blessed in the life that she chose to live...in the lives that she blessed by pursuing her Maker with such depth and intensity...and in the lives that will continue to be not only touched, but also turned toward God and eternal life with Him, because she lived the first and most important commandments the Lord expects of us all:  to love God above all, and to love your neighbor as yourself.

14 years without Rachael being here in this life.
Never has there been, nor could there be,

something that aches this much, for this long.
Yet, though we grieve, we do not grieve without hope.

Rachael cannot come to us, but we can go to her.
We rejoice that she is not just in our past, but also in our future.
Until the day He sounds the trump (I Thess. 4: 13-18),
may the sustaining grace and love of God Almighty

help us to endure such seemingly unendurable trauma,
until that grand and glorious day arrives

when we shall have to endure such pain no more.
